Description and application:

Triethanolamine (nitrilotriethanol) is a colorless, viscous, hygroscopic liquid that has a specific amine smell, mixes with water in any proportion, is slightly soluble in marginal hydrocarbons, and is well — soluble in ethanol, chloroform, and benzene. It belongs to a group of chemical compounds that have the properties of amines, alcohols and weak bases.

  • in the cement industry as a binder between various synthetic and natural components of cement, and in addition as a moderator/accelerator of the solidification process;
  • pure TEA is used in the production of cosmetics, as well as in detergents and disinfectants as a pH regulator in creams and gels, as well as as a soft base and as a part of emulsifiers;
  • as an absorbent of “acidic” gases (H2S, CO2, SO2, etc.) in the process of cleaning process gases at the enterprises of the oil refining, gas production and chemical industries;
  • in the production of corrosion inhibitors;
  • in the production of coolant
