Description and application:
On an industrial scale, hydrogen peroxide is produced by the electrolysis of sulfuric acid, during which perseric acid is formed, and the subsequent decomposition of the latter to peroxide and sulfuric acid.
The product is used for bleaching cotton, fabrics, knitwear, soaps, paper and wood pulp, for the production of bleaching and disinfectants, as well as as an oxidizer, catalyst, hydrogenating and epoxidizing agent used in various industries.
